Description

Took over a hundred shots and only came up with one sharp one, and it was fairly dark. So, I ran it through photomatix's single-file conversion process, did some HEAVY noise filtering, did some serious cutting out, and came up with this. Take it or leave it, it was the only thing keeping me from being depressed about the whole night.

What I learned was this:

Don't take a 70-200 2.8L IS to a concert unless it's WELL lit or you can use flash(RARELY).

2.8 isn't the bomb,

and IS isn't going to save you either, if your shutter speeds are slow enough that subject movement is causing the blur and not your own.

Next time, I'm takin' the 50 1.8 or the next fastest thing I've got.

Another thing, I think its a good idea to use shutter priority and not aperture priority. I think you have to keep that shutter speed above 1/60th or 125th because rock bands are called rock band not because they're sitting in a rocking chair.
